This week marks the release of Thor: Ragnorak, the highly anticipated 17th entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ever since the first trailer dropped back in April many of us around the office have been counting down the days till we finally would be able to see what is next in store for the God of Thunder. 

Well let's just say I couldn't wait that long. Lucky for me there is SOLIDWORKS Simulation, a fantastic tool for testing your design performance in both linear and non-linear dynamic settings. So if it can test the accurate behavior of a bicycle gear or a car suspension, it certainly could be used to test one of the most fearsome and powerful weapons in the Marvel universe right? How to Deactivate a SOLIDWORKS License

Over time computer hardware gets old, and as a result it needs to be replaced. Although new gear can be exciting, it comes with the hassle of transferring your software. When we change the hardware running SOLIDWORKS, be it a client with a stand-alone license or a server running the SolidNetWork License Manager, it will require us to deactivate the serial number used for the installation.

Obtaining Your Complimentary Serial Number for Visualize Standard

With the release of SOLIDWORKS Visualize in 2016, SOLIDWORKS Professional and Premium subscription customers received a complimentary copy of Visualize Standard. In the 2017 release of SOLIDWORKS, Visualize has been integrated with the SOLIDWORKS Installation Media. As a result of this integration in the SOLIDWORKS install, a new serial number is needed to install Visualize 2017.
